Season 5: The Wheel of Fire

Episode 89:  "No Compromises"

As President of the Interstellar Alliance now, Sheridan has made many enemies in the war with Clark. He receives a death threat by a lone gunman willing to sacrifice himself to assassinate the new President. Sheridan refuses to go into hiding and wants to proceed with an open inauguration.

Captain Elizabeth Lochley arrives to replace Sheridan as Commander of Babylon 5. She is contacted by a rogue telepath name Byron who asks to start a colony of telepaths on Babylon 5.

G'Kar is selected by Sheridan to write the Oath of Office and the Declaration of Principles for the new Alliance.

Still a civilian, Garibaldi is determined to protect Sheridan. With the help of one of Byron's telepaths, and Garibaldi's resourcefulness, the assassin's attempt on Sheridan's life fails. President Sheridan appoints Garibaldi as Head of Covert Intelligence for the Interstellar Alliance.

Episode 90:  "The Very Long Night of Londo Mollari"

Londo has a heart attack that leaves him at death's door. While unconscious and lying in Medlab, he finds himself in a dream of self awareness. In his mind he walks the corridors of Babylon 5 encountering several members of the command staff and has a conversation with each of them, a conversation he would never engage in voluntarily in the real world. Each character he meets is trying to give him the same message - if he wants to live he has to face something he has been denying for years. At every turn, there is G'Kar looming behind him waiting to confront Londo. All that is required of Londo to lift his crushing guilt is one word to G'Kar. If the word is not spoken soon, Londo will die.

Now that Sheridan and Delenn are married, Lennier feels like he is in the way and that it is time he moved on with his life. He decides to leave Babylon 5 and join the Rangers.

Episode 91:  "The Paragon of Animals"

The Interstellar Alliance is in its infancy and is already about to break. Sheridan is having trouble getting the member worlds to agree to the Declaration of Principles. Claiming morality cannot be legislated, especially across many different worlds, some of the member worlds have begun border wars in an attempt to increase their empires.

Garibaldi, as Head of Covert Intelligence for the Alliance, contacts the telepath Byron to ask him to contribute some of his telepaths to gather information for Sheridan's new Alliance. Byron flatly refuses until Garibaldi convinces Lyta to persuade him otherwise. The telepaths prove extremely effective at intelligence gathering and they provide Sheridan with information about who is behind the border wars.

Sheridan sends the entire Whitestar fleet to make a statement. Now the Alliance members are willing to reconsider the Declaration of Principles for the New Interstellar Alliance.

Episode 92:  "A View from the Gallery"

This entire episode is seen from the perspective of two lowly "maintenance floaters" named Mack and Bo. Like so many people in life, these two are among the many "invisibles", people who are barely noticed among the throng of human existence. We follow them around as they perform their daily duties on just another typical day of life on Babylon 5.

An aggressive race is on the move, testing the strength and will of several species to determine their vulnerability to invasion. Babylon 5 is one of their targets. Captain Lochley has her hands full. She must ensure these aggressors are defeated least the humans appear weak.

While the station is under attack, Mack and Bo continue their work as usual, getting involved in the crossfire and several personal conflicts along the way. Their assignments put them into the thick of it - from Medlab to Command and Control, to a confrontation between Lochley and Garibaldi, to down below, to the observation deck, in the middle of an arms fight between the attacking aliens and Zack's men. At one point they take refuge with Byron's telepaths. Byron gives Bo a little wish and lets him experience the fight directly from the point of view of a star fury fighter. If only everybody's job was so boring.

Episode 93:  "Learning Curve"

Now that the war with President Clark is over, some of the fallout comes to Babylon 5 in the form of displaced criminal gangs. Zack investigates several murders in down below and finds there is a new power structure intent on ruling by terror.

Two young Minbari rangers-in-training, bored with all their mental training exercises, are eager for action. Their instructor gives them a break from their meditation classes and invites them to visit Babylon 5 with him. The two recruits decide to explore the darker places on Babylon 5 and fall victim to the new  violent crime gang. One of the recruits is almost beaten to death as the other escapes out of fear. The two young rangers must now learn how to overcome their fear and terror, each in his own way.

Garibaldi does not trust Captain Lochley and presses her to reveal which side she was on in the war with President Clark and Earth Force. He  eventually  forces a confrontation between the both of them. Afterwards, Garibaldi decides to investigate Lochley's history.

Episode 94:  "Strange Relations"

The colony of telepaths on Babylon 5 has caught the attention of the Psi Corps and Bester is sent along with a unit of telepath "bloodhounds" to take them back to earth. Byron's influence over the telepath colony has grown to the status of cult leader and martyr. Lyta, infatuated with Byron, joins his group and is determined to protect them from Bester's bloodhounds using her Vorlon enhanced abilities, but even she cannot hold them off forever. Soon they are all rounded up by Bester. Captain Lochley finds herself in a difficult position - she is ordered by Sheridan not to release the telepaths to Bester,  yet she does not want to disobey Earth Force orders.

Londo is ordered back to Centauri Prime due to the failing health of the Regent and it looks like he may never return to Babylon 5.  The Centauri cruiser sent to pick him up is destroyed, the act of Centauri sabotage intended for Londo. Delenn decides Londo is in need of a bodyguard and persuades G'Kar to be his personal bodyguard.

Garibaldi persists in his personal investigation of Lochley. Captain Lochley is tired of all his suspicion and meddling and finally sits him down and reveals to him the connection between her and Sheridan.

Episode 95:  "Secrets of the Soul"

More telepaths arrive at Babylon 5 seeking refuge with Byron's group. As his numbers grow  the conflicts with the "mundane" normals also increases. Violence erupts between the telepaths and the lurkers in down below resulting in the brutal beating of one of Byron's telepaths followed by the murder of a mundane. The situation is escalating beyond Byron's control. In an intimate moment with Lyta, Byron learns of the Vorlon's interference with the development of telepaths on hundreds of worlds. Enraged by the manipulations of the Vorlons to create telepathic "weapons" to be used against the Shadows, Byron now embarks on a mission demanding a home world for telepaths.

The newly formed Interstellar Alliance has resulted in more interaction between aliens at Babylon 5 as new world members join the Alliance.  This provides Dr. Franklin greater opportunity to study the biology of new species. A new race to the Alliance, the Hyach, seems reluctant to share the medical history of their race with Dr. Franklin. Determined to uncover what they are hiding Dr. Franklin discovers they are a dying race - the result of lost DNA due to the systematic genocide of a parallel species on their world called the Hyach-do.

Episode 96:  "Day of the Dead"

On the Brakiri homeworld they have only one comet which approaches every 200 years which they believe represents death. In celebration the Brakiri observe the "Day of the Dead". In the spirit of religious tolerance, Captain Lochley grants them permission to celebrate this ritual on Babylon 5 but first she must legally sign over ownership of a part of the station to the Brakiri for just one night. Believing it to be a metaphor, Captain Lochley agrees and then later finds out the observance was much more than symbolism. As night falls on Babylon 5 people in the Brakiri-owned section of the station are visited by deceased friends and acquaintances.

Captain Lochley is visited by a friend named Zoe who lived a life of drug abuse and committed suicide.

Garibaldi is visited by Pfc. Elizabeth "Dodger" Durman (you may remember her from the 2nd season episode "GROPOS") who was infatuated with Garibaldi and hopes to spend one romantic night with him.

Londo Mollari is visited by Adira Tyree, the beautiful slave he fell in love with long ago.

And for some strange unexplained reason, Lennier is visited by Mr. Mordan who Lennier refuses to have any discourse with.

This episode also guest stars Penn and Teller as a comedy team known as Rebo and Zooty.

Episode 97:  "In the Kingdom of the Blind"

The Rangers have reported a major increase in attacks on the supply ships of the member worlds of the new Interstellar Alliance. The attacks are random and the cargo has not been taken. It appears the attacks are intended to create terror and chaos, a pattern reminiscent of the Shadows' tactics.

With G'Kar along as his bodyguard, Londo has returned to Centauri Prime to meet with the ailing Regent. He soon discovers there is a mysterious dark power behind the scenes pulling the strings and calling the shots on Centauri Prime, a force that appears to favor Londo.

Byron's anger over the telepath problem has driven him to desperate measures. He orders his people to secretly follow and read the minds of the Alliance ambassadors. He then plans to blackmail them in exchange for a homeworld for his people, a strategy certain to fail. This move only brings violence upon Byron's people and soon they have sealed themselves up in Brown Sector.

Episode 98:  "A Tragedy of Telepaths"

Byron and his followers are still isolated in down below. Babylon 5 security is unable to cut their way in - due to the telepathic powers of Byron's people. With no other options available to her, Captain Lochley reluctantly calls on Bester for his help. A few of Byron's telepaths are sill in the general population and when they learn that Bester has arrived they break into an armory, steal weapons and are determined to fight to the death rather than be captured by the Psi Corp. Now Bester has no choice but to send for his bloodhound unit.

On Centauri Prime, G'Kar suspects the Centauri are still holding some Narns prisoners even though the war is over. He soon discovers his former aid Na'Toth has been kept in isolation for over 2 years. Enraged, he demands that Londo find a way to release her. In desperation Londo and G'Kar mount a plan to secretly break her out and return her to Narn.

President Sheridan and Delenn are having a difficult time keeping the new Alliance together. Alliance shipping lanes are still being attacked by unknown ships. Evidence from the attacks seem to suggest  the Brakiri are behind it or maybe the Drazi. Before long the Brakiri and Drazi position their fleets for battle against each other. Sheridan and Delenn call on the Whitestar fleet to intercede, threatening to attack the Drazi or Brakiri in return. This puts a temporary stop to them and buys Sheridan more time to investigate.

Episode 99:  "Phoenix Rising"

Bester's bloodhound unit has arrived and Captain Lochley fears the telepath situation will only end with more bloodshed.  Unable to control his telepaths that are out in the general population, Byron contacts Sheridan and pleads for him to remove Bester and his bloodhound unit. During this conversation with Sheridan, Bester is present and it is here we learn Bester and Byron share some kind of personal history between them. Lyta presses Byron for the truth and he confesses he was not only a Psi Cop at one time, he was Bester's protege.

Some of the armed telepaths storm into Med Lab and take hostages including Dr. Franklin and Garibaldi. They threaten to kill the hostages one by one unless Byron and his people in down below are allowed to leave Babylon 5. Byron breaks out of Brown Sector and stops the telepaths from killing the hostages. He then negotiates an end to the situation with Sheridan and Lochley but Bester refuses to accept it. Bester interferes with the surrender, forcing Byron to take extreme measures once and for all to free himself and his people.

At one point during this episode, Garibaldi corners Bester and is about to kill him for tampering with his mind and turning him against Sheridan. But Garibaldi is unable to pull the trigger - the result of a mind block planted by Bester.

Episode 100:  "The Ragged Edge"

The Alliance ambassadors are refusing to attend council meetings. If the new Interstellar Alliance is unable to protect shipping lanes between member worlds then they feel the ISA is irrelevant. Sheridan and Delenn need to identify the race responsible for the attacks soon. They send Garibaldi to the Drazi homeworld to follow up on a possible lead into the attacks. Garibaldi's contact is murdered and he barely gets out alive himself. All Garibaldi comes back with is a button he tore off one of his attackers. A button Londo identifies as belonging to the guards of the Centauri Imperial Palace.

Now that Londo and G'Kar have returned to Babylon 5, they find that G'Kar is now being regarded as a religious icon. While Londo and G'Kar were away on Centauri Prime, G'Kar's friend Ta'lon had G'Kar's book published. The "Book of G'Kar"  is projected to outsell the "Book of G'Quan". G'Kar finds the entire matter distasteful and the many lost followers seeking his presence and wisdom to be an annoyance.

Garibaldi has started drinking again, the result of the mind block Bester implanted in him. Garibaldi does not like being manipulated and controlled. This feeling of helplessness has driven him back to old bad habits.

Dr. Franklin has been offered a position as head of xenobiological research on Earth. He accepts the position and informs Sheridan of his plans to leave Babylon 5.

Episode 101:  "The Corps is Mother, the Corps is Father"

This is the last episode to feature Walter Koenig as the Psi Cop megalomaniac monster Bester. This entire episode follows Bester as he is given charge of two new Psi Corp interns. He is to introduce them to the ways of a Psi Cop and show them some of the ropes. The lessons are interrupted when another Psi Cop in-training is murdered by  an unstable telepath.

Bester, along with his two interns, pursue the murderer to Babylon 5. Once on Babylon 5 the suspect turns out to be more dangerous than Bester had anticipated. The murderer is not only an unstable telepath, he also suffers from a split personality. One personality is a P10, the other a P12 capable of killing a person from the inside out - what the Psi Corp calls a shredder.

For the first time we get a peek inside the Psi Corp, how they train their people, how they deal with internal problems, and how they regard themselves with respect to the non-telepathic mundanes. As a last initiation rite, one of the young recruits is to dispose of a mundane in a fashion as cold and heartless as the Bester we have come to know. Here's to Walter Koenig for creating such an easily hated villain, a far cry from his ensign Chekov character in the pioneering original Star Trek series.

Episode 102:  "Meditations on the Abyss"

The attacks on Alliance shipping lanes continue with no hard evidence of who is behind it. Some of the ambassadors are beginning to suspect the Centauri and are treating Londo and Vir with suspicion . Delenn is desperate to find proof and so enlists the help of Lennier without Sheridan's knowledge.

Lennier is still in Ranger training and must now pursue Delenn's secret mission for him without the knowledge of his teacher. While on a training assignment, Lennier is paired with a young ranger-in-training named Findell. Findell is unsure of his decision to become Anla-shok (Rangers) and exhibits fear and doubt during a training mission that puts both himself and Lennier in danger. It is during this incident that Lennier exhibits what it truly means to be Anla-shok.

G'Kar's status among the Narns is growing with no end in sight. He now holds regular meetings with the Narn population where he serves as their spiritual adviser and in their eyes, the mouthpiece of God.

Garibaldi's drinking is getting worse, threatening to destroy the reputation he has worked so hard for all these years. More and more he is missing meetings and appointments and is losing touch with all that is going on at Babylon 5.

Episode 103:  "Darkness Ascending"

Lennier is making some progress in his investigation into the attacks on Alliance shipping lanes and has an idea on how to track a Centauri transmission in hyperspace, but Sheridan finds out about it and immediately recalls the Whitestar he is on. In his persistence, Lennier jumps ship in a Minbari fighter to pursue his investigation alone. In this short range fighter Lennier has only a 36 hour supply of air. Lennier is successful in his mission. He finally has the proof Sheridan and Delenn have been seeking. Proof that will surely plunge the Alliance into war.

Lyta Alexander is desperate to find a way to make a living for her and the remaining telepath population aboard Babylon 5. No private Earth company will hire her so she turns to G'Kar. Long ago G'Kar proposed a deal to Lyta. He and his world would reward her handsomely if she provided them access to her DNA in the hopes of introducing the telepath gene back into the Narn population. At the time Lyta was offended at the offer. Now, however, she feels she has no other option available to her and she and G'Kar finally make a deal.

Garibaldi gets a visit from
Lise Hampton who discovers he is drinking again and she confronts him with it. Garibaldi insists he is in control but Lise knows better. Her presence in Garibaldi's life is just what he needs right now. Just as things start to look up for Garibaldi, Sheridan informs him that war with the Centauri is imminent. With this crisis about to hit Babylon 5, Garibaldi orders Lise back to Mars, leaving Garibaldi alone again.

Episode 104:  "And All My Dreams, Torn Assunder"

The mounting evidence of the Centauri attacks is presented to the Alliance members. The Alliance orders a blockade against all Centauri trade with member worlds. The Centauri Republic is to be isolated, enforced if needed, by the Whitestar Fleet. As ambassador to the Centauri, Londo denounces the evidence as a fraud as does his government . In response to the Alliance blockade, the Centauri Republic order their warships to accompany all Centauri transports and threaten war if fired upon by any Alliance ship.

Sheridan sends Garibaldi on a mission to intercede with the Whitestar fleet if any confrontation between Centauri and Alliance ships should arise. He hopes the presence of the whitestars will be enough to deter the Centauri into retreating. Garibaldi's drinking gets the best of him and he fails at this mission Sheridan entrusted to him.

Londo, along with G'Kar as bodyguard, returns to Centauri Prime in the hopes of averting war with the Alliance. Though he is Prime Minister, he is powerless back in the Royal Court. As hostilities break out between Centauri and Alliance ships, the Interstellar Alliance declares war against the Centauri. As a member of the Alliance advisory board, G'Kar is to be imprisoned. Unable to prevent G'Kar's imprisonment, Londo chooses to join him.

Episode 105:  "Movements of Fire and Shadow"

The fighting between the Centauri and the Alliance member worlds is increasing. Sheridan finally authorizes the Whitestar fleet to engage the Centauri. After using the Whitestars against the Shadows' and Clark's forces, the Whitestar numbers are declining. Sheridan asks Delenn to make a trip to Minbar to negotiate a joint venture between Minbar and Earth to build a new destroyer class Whitestar.

With Londo on Centauri Prime, Vir Cotto is the only representative on Babylon 5 for the Centauri. He is concerned with the fallen Centauri during all the recent battles. So far, not one Centauri body has been returned. He asks Dr. Franklin and Lyta to visit the Drazi homeworld to investigate.

Back on Centauri Prime, Londo and G'Kar are still imprisoned. During their incarceration they are both rendered unconscious by a blinding light at which point Londo is taken and undergoes some kind of medical procedures under the direction of a Drakh.

Sheridan is unable to figure out the Centauri's strategy, their overall goals for the war with the Alliance. In his mind he cannot see any motive beyond angering all the Alliance member worlds. He is hard pressed to prevent the Alliance members from attacking Centauri Prime directly. Behind his back,  the other member worlds plot to attack the Centauri homeworld.

Back on the Drazi homeworld, Dr. Franklin and Lyta discover the Centauri ships have been unmanned, controlled by organic pods Lyta identifies as left over Shadow technology. After informing Sheridan, he finally puts all the pieces together.- the overall goal of the Centauri attacks is to bring death and destruction to Centauri Prime.

Episode 106:  "The Fall of Centauri Prime"

The Drazi and the Narn fleets have reached Centauri Prime to find it completely defenseless. In their anger and desire for revenge they have mounted a full scale attack on military and civilian targets. Sheridan arrives on a single Whitestar and is outraged. He orders them to stop or he will order the soon to arrive Whitestar fleet to fire on them.
But it may be too late. Soon the Centauri warships will return and they will not want explanations just retribution.

On Centauri Prime it is finally revealed to Londo who has been controlling the Regent and why. The Drakh have been pulling the strings behind the scenes on Centauri Prime and have been controlling the Regent with something called a "keeper", some kind of living parasite that embeds itself into the body of its host. Now it is Londo's turn to rule but only if he accepts a keeper of his own. The Drakh, servants of the Shadows, have come to make a home on Centauri Prime and to exact revenge on Londo for what he did to Mr. Mordan and the Shadow vessels once stationed there long ago.

Now as Emperor, Londo strikes a bargain with Sheridan to end the war. Sheridan has one personal request to make of Londo. On returning from Minbar, Delenn's Whitestar was attacked and disabled by the Centauri. Now it is lost in hyperspace. He asks Londo to spare Delenn and return her.

Londo is now finally ruler of Centauri Prime, a broken and defeated world secretly under the control of the Drakh. Londo too is a broken and defeated individual with all the power he could ever want but no personal freedom at all.

Episode 107:  "Wheel of Fire"

This episode signals drastic changes in the lives of the main characters on Bablylon 5.

Garibaldi's drinking has now come to the attention of Sheridan when Garibaldi shows up to a meeting drunk. Sheridan suspends Garibaldi from duty until such time he gets his life under control. Captain Lochley sympathizes with Garibaldi and confesses she to was once an alcoholic. Lochley sends for Lise Hampton to come to Babylon 5 to be with Garibaldi. Lise convinces Garibaldi it is time to start a new life with her back on Mars.

Lyta's funding of a movement of telepaths on Earth against the Psi Corp has been discovered and Lochley is ordered to arrest her and return her to earth. Lyta's power as a telepath has grown and now she cannot be arrested if she chooses not to. Since Sheridan was once touched by the Vorlons, he is immune to Lyta's powers and he has to step in to help with her arrest.

On returning to Bablylon 5 from Centauri Prime, G'Kar has found his cult of personality has grown even more. He realizes now he cannot return to Narn and he cannot remain on Bablylon 5, his presence will only be a distraction. Realizing that both he and Lyta can no longer remain on Babylon 5, he proposes they leave together on a journey of exploration beyond Babylon 5.

Sheridan discovers Delenn is pregnant and soon the both of them will be leaving Babylon 5 to start a new life on Minbar.

Episode 108:  "Objects in Motion"

In this episode a few of the main characters start departing Babylon 5 as this series finally starts to wind to an end.

Dr. Franklin's contact in the old Mars resistance, Number 1 or Tessa Holloran, arrives on Bablyon 5 to inform Garibaldi and Lise Hampton-Edgars they are the targets of an assassination plot. Now that Mars has won its independence there are loose ends some of the big corporations need to clean up and Garibaldi and Lise are two of them. Sheridan is impressed with Tessa and selects her to replace Garibaldi as Head of Covert Intelligence for the Alliance.

G'Kar's growing popularity starts attracting some of the lost souls of Narn looking for a shooting star like G'Kar on which to hitch their wagon. G'Kar rebuffs one of them and in so doing makes an enemy.

Security chief Zack Allan devises a plan to catch the assassin sent to kill Garibaldi and Lise. He suggests they plan a big public farewell party for G'Kar and Garibaldi to draw out and trap the assassin. During the festivities the killer is caught but one of G'Kar's lost souls attempts to shot G'Kar but instead wounds Lise.

Many a goodbye is said among the principal characters as G'Kar and Lyta are the first to leave followed by Garibaldi.

Episode 109:  "Objects at Rest"

This is the last episode that takes place on Babylon 5 as we witness a changing of the Guard. Dr. Franklin has selected Dr. Hobbes to replace him as chief of staff of medlab and in a recorded message, G'Kar has selected Ta'Lon to be the new ambassador to Narn.

As a Whitestar arrives to take Sheridan and Delenn to Minbar, the news leaks out and a crowd gathers to say their goodbyes and show their appreciation and respect. Not prepared for such a gathering, Sheridan lets Delenn give the last words.

As Sheridan, Delenn and Lennier board the ship to leave, Sheridan has the ship turn and face Babylon 5 to take one long look. On a close up of the Command and Control bridge we see the entire command staff who are now in charge of Babylon 5. As series wrap-ups go, this has got to be one of the best.

Aboard a Whitestar now heading for Minbar, Sheridan is restless and so takes a stroll around the ship. He encounters a Ranger injured by a coolant leak and soon the two of them are sealed in a small containment area. Lennier is the only one nearby who can help them. In a moment of jealousy and weakness he abandons them. Sheridan and the Ranger make it out alive but now Lennier must live with his shame and guilt.

Arriving on Minbar, Sheridan and Delenn are surprised by a visit from Emperor Londo Mollari. He as brought a gift, an old Centauri urn. He gives them explicit instructions to give it to their child when he or she turns 16 years old. As Londo departs back to Centauri Prime, we get a glimpse of a Drakh sleeper inside the urn. This is a very strange thing to occur this late in the series. One wonders what the intent was. Do the Drakh intend to infiltrate and control Minbar and the Alliance much they way they did Centauri Prime?

This episode ends with Sheridan making a recorded message for his child in case he is not alive when his son turns 21. We already know from a previous episode when Sheridan was "unstuck" in time, that Sheridan and Delenn will have a son.

Episode 110:  "Sleeping in Light"

As this episode opens on the planet Minbar it is 2281, twenty years after the creation of the Interstellar Alliance and Sheridan's clock is running down. In a previous episode Lorien gave Sheridan an extended life expectancy of only about 20 more years following his "resurrection" at Z'ha'dum. Delenn sends word to all his old friends and they gather at Minbar for their last supper with Sheridan. Delenn asks Susan Ivanova to remain on Minbar as head of the Rangers.

As death calls to Sheridan, his desire is to feel space under him again. His wants to die in deep space. As Sheridan puts it, he just wants to take one last Sunday drive in a Whitestar. Sheridan and Delenn have their last moment together and then Sheridan departs in a Whitestar.

He first stops at Babylon 5 for one last look at the old place. He arrives just before the station is to be shut down, permanently by demolition. The place is a ghost town now. He is surprised by Zack Allan. Zack once remarked he would probably stay on Babylon 5 until they turned the lights off, looks like he got his wish. Sheridan is feeling his time is up now and returns to Corina VI, they place where they won the Shadow war.

There, alone within his Whitestar, Lorien appears to him. As Lorien puts it, "they have been waiting for him, to take him beyond the rim". Sheridan is gone now, leaving only an empty Whitestar adrift in space.

Back now on Babylon 5 for the shut down ceremony, most of  the original Babylon 5 principals depart the station for the last time. The last person we see on Babylon 5 before its demolition is its creator J. Michael Straczynski turning off the lights.

Now that's a way to end a series. Makes you want to start the journey all over again from the very first episode.
